The Manistee is a slow-paced family river with an average depth of 2 -4 feet. Canoe early in the day or closer to evening to enjoy the abundant wildlife that share the river including: deer, turkey, beaver, muskrat, raccoon, ducks, Canadian geese, swans, herons and rabbits.
